This late-winter view easterly across the mouth of Alton Bay is from the roadside viewspot on Rt 11 that is a few hundred yards south of the entrance to the Mt Major parking lot - or, to be more precise, it's from the top of the cliff on the other side of the road from the roadside viewspot.
