This falls is the 2nd highest of a series of 10 falls on a .5 mile section of Shannon Brook. A path once allowed easy viewing of these falls, but it was long ago abandoned and the views of the falls became gradually obstructed as trees and brush grew up along the path. It is now in the process of being cleared again. This view is taken from the base of the falls, looking up from the floor of the deep gorge created by the brook as it flowed through this rugged terrain over the millenia.
