Shot across Lake Wentworth taken from the Tibbetts Hill section of the Stoneham Rd. Note the thin sliver of Winnipesaukee below Mt Belknap - also note the intentionally darkened section of the long, undulating spine of Rattlesnake Island to its immediate right. The long island appearing to run thru the center of Wentworth is really a merging of several islands, one of which, Stamp Act Island, really is quite long. The Stamp Act was the Parliamentary law of the Revolutionary War period that eventually cost colonial governor John Wentworth his valuable lakeside estate, the first mansion of the Lakes Region.
