Great post card. So much has changed. Centre Harbor and the chair lift especially.

My question was about the Long Island bridge. Was it once a covered bridge? It does not look like Long Island at all to me.

Fabulous! I'm especially intrigued with the Riverhead, NY address. Not sure if it's still the same, but in years past Riverhead on the north fork of LI, was one beautiful and somewhat pricey area. Funny that residents of that beautiful place, came to this beautiful place for vacationing. Just further proof that THIS place truly is paradise! Albeit, with so many changes that have taken place over the years, some would claim it's "Paradise Lost." As far as I'm concerned - this will always be MY paradise!

I have been actively collecting the views in this postcard and as of today, 4/4/2007, I am only missing #6, of Dane Farm, and #11, of the young lady riding the single chair at Belknap.
On my website, you can see all of the original postcard views by scrolling down to the bottom of this page:
weirsbeach.com/information.html
and clicking on each photo.
Today, I solved the mystery of the covered bridge in photo #4. This bridge was actually the Coombs bridge in Winchester, NH. Check out my website for another photo of the bridge.

Correction: the covered bridge in photo#4 is not the Coombs bridge. It is the Durgin bridge in Sandwich, NH. Also, since my last post I have obtained photo #11, so I am only missing #6 now.
