Truly a classic postcard. Is there a car buff out there who can identify the year of any of the cars?

Hey, jacksonB, this one caught my eye! Great post cards and history!

I will make a wild guess here on the auto in the forefront, for macdude.

I do know that it is a Crysler product, my guess would be: A 1946-1947 Crysler Dasoto. The car heading away down the road looks to me like a Hudson Hornet. My eye sight isn't too good, at my age, so the other cars in the background, I can not see well enough to identify.

I will be back to see if I came close.

Parker Marine was Downings at the time this photo was taken.

Did anyone notice the sign for the Yankee Flyer and Minute Man speed boat rides? See photo 2 before this one in this post under Post Cards.

The front car is a Chrysler most likely a 1948. My Dad had the Chrysler and my brothers had the Desoto and I remember the grille (Chrysler had the verticle pieces) was the difference between them.

Yes, the other car is a Hudson Hornet. Interesting side note is that there is a junk yard (former Hudson Dealership)in Bellinham Ma that has quite a few Hudsons, all rusted out now, that were brand new and just left there when Hudson went bankrupt.
