This plant appears to be Prunella vulgaris - commonly known as Heal-all or Selfheal, as is was used long ago as a cure or treatment for a number of illnesses. Once considered a certain cure for quinsy, a precursor of tonsillitis. Was also used to treat wounds. Often found in fields or even sometimes in mowed lawns.
