I purchased this postcard of the lake back in the late 1960s, I believe at Black's in Wolfeboro. I remember buying it (as a teenager!) because the lake looked so beautiful. I kept it all these years and just recently found it. The postcard itself is not dated, but it says the photo was taken by the late Loran Percy. Can anyone identify either the islands in the photo, or the location from which it was taken?

Based on the photo, I'm going to guess that this shot was taken somewhere on Rte 11, in the very close vicinity of Aqua Vue. The view from there is nearly identical. Diamond Island on the left, Rattlesnake Island on the right.

My guess would be, taken from Scenic Drive. Pepper has the Islands right, and also, Scenic Drive is accessed from Rte 11.

I would have guessed Lincoln Park at Belknap Point in Gilford....but what do I know? Note that this Loran Percy photo is also incorporated into this postcard.

Thanks for sharing that Don. McDudes postcard looks like your postcard and the sunset looks like one of your sunset pictures that you have taken! Cool.

Looks more like a view from the Belknap Point area, as is the below photo from the Belknap Point Motel.
