i think this is the public beach on the rt 28a side of alton bay??

you are both correct indeed! Note the much steeper slant to the beach and that this postcard is from pre- Harmony Park. (now on the far (top) side of the beach) Anyone care to guess the date? I have no idea (no postmark) but would guess 1950's.

I would tend to agree based on the "SCHWIM WARE" (old Wendy's commercial) and the black car in the upper right hand side.
