Kimball's Castle, once a proud and stately icon of the Lakes Region, has suffered mightily from the ravages of time, neglect, and, especially, vandalism. This closeup gives a hint of its present state. Let's hope that the most recent plans for restoration prove to be successful. At least, things are now being done at the site, with work on the outbuildings apparently being the first order of business.
