We spotted this raptor as we were heading into Alton Bay on May 20, 2011. It was definitely not an adult Bald Eagle, because there was no white head.
It was being chased by little birds just before landing. The picture is a silhouette shot because it was right around dusk. This bird stayed on this tree for quite a while watching us. I suspect it was eye balling our puppy! Wish he flew while we were there.
