12/20/13 I have heard a rumor that one of these properties along the eastern shore of Alton Bay is to be sold in 2014. The same family has owned it since 1907. Another wonderful (real) lakefront cottage may be gone soon if the buyer plans to put in a McMansion. I am sad for the children and grandchildren who will be loosing their childhood cottage.

I agree Just Sold, a family shareholder of our 1892 cottage dropped out this year, but luckily another family member picked it up.
