There are numerous cliff faces scattered across the upper face of the SW side of Rand Mt - this seems to be the largest one. It continues like this for 100 yds or more. It varies between 50 and 70 ft in height - rock climbers use it because its vertical face and scattered roofed-over sections, plus some spots where the face features overhangs (spots where the face is beyond vertical) offers great challenges to them. Much of their climbing hardware is scattered across the most challenging sections of the cliff. This web site provides reports from climbers across the country who feel the need to tell their stories about their exploits - http://www.mountainproject.com/v/new...tain/106712559 - hopefully it will pick the Rand Mt report.
