This guy's head popped up out of a bunch of Arrow Leaf. I tried to capture it there but it took off too quick. This was the fourth heron of the day, 3 Blues and one I couldn't ID.

Nice shot Jonas! In years past we've had an unlikely heron out on The Broads. One time it jumped onto the dock just two feet behind me, which of course scared the dickens out of me. It hasn't been around this year though. These birds are amazing hunters and are a delight to watch.
