Mark Mason, the owner of The New England Boat and Motor Restorations, in Laconia took my wife LaDonna for a thrilling birthday ride on the Impshi.
The new IMPSHI is built from original George Crouch plans from 1925. She was built by the Horace Dodge Boat works in Detroit for Horace Dodge himself, who raced it many years. It won the Gold Cup Championship in 1936 at Lake
George.
The new IMPSHI is built of cold molded construction with laminated layers, like plywood. She is powered with a big modern V8 and pushes her to speeds equaling her performance in the 1930's (75MPH).
