I was taking pictures of the kids working the Triathlon, when this father and son team rolled by. I was told by Bill and Lisa Hurley, that they were relatives, and their names are DICK and RICK HOYT. What dedication and motivation this is for people that are afraid to try !

You are right Alby, they set quite an example. The Hoyts have achieved notoriety and have been admired for many years and for many reasons. One of their accomplishments is competing at the Boston Marathon for more than 25 years. For many years I was at the Boston Marathon Start Line, Finish Line photo bridge and a few places in between along the course (yes, all during the same race) and it is truly an uplifting experience to watch them up close before, during and after the BAA Marathon. The crowd goes wild when they run by. To find out more about this amazing father and son team visit their web site, click TEAM HOYT
Thanks Alby for your participation in the Forum and Gallery.
