Rocky Mt is at the southern extreme of the Belknap Range - several of the noted peaks of the western part of the state are shown. Note that the 7-8 mile N to S summit of Sunapee is so long that it looms up behind Peaked Hill at both its north and south sides. This photo was taken from the top of a steep ledge on the SW side of Rocky Mt. Some peaks on the horizon are named, some of them local, primarily in Gilmanton, and some of them far to the west, in the deep background. Crystal Lake can be seen at the far left, and a small piece of Manning Lake is visible near the far right.
