Mt Klem, of the Belknap Range, is 2001 ft high, the 4th highest peak of the range. It doesn't look too impressive from this vantange point because the end of the Grant Rd lies at an elevation of 1200 ft, leaving only a small portion of the mountain left to look at. Klem provides fine views north to Winnipesaukee and the White Mts, and fine views to the south and east looking from the Belknaps to, on a good day, the Atlantic seacoast. For decades an old pasture road, (shown off to the left side of the photo) that since the 1800's led to Round Pond and up to summer pastures on Klem and Mack Mts, provided access for hiking, but recent changes in ownership and property use now make that access unavailable.
