Shannon Mt is a small mountain of the Belknap Range that commands some big views. Being on the southern tip of the range, with lots of low-lying land opening up before it (such as the large beaver bog in the foreground), Shannon provides wide panoramas from the peak in 3 different directions - E, S and W. The best views are probably those to the S and SW, provided by the large area of open ledge showing in this photo.
