A photo taken this afternoon from the Mt Rowe side of the high ridge that connects Mt Rowe to Gunstock Mt - a line of sight distance of about .6 miles. The ski area closed for the season a little over 10 days ago, and the only snow now seen in the photo is in the immediate foreground. So, even tho there is still lots of the man-made snow left on the slopes, the loss of snow most everywhere where the skiers live tends to mean that spring has arrived and the ski season is history.
