This falls is probably the largest falls, from top to bottom, in the Belknap Range. Unfortunately it does not have a reliable source of water and runs only during the Spring thaw or during (and immediately after) long rainy spells during other seasons; but during those special circumstances it really lives up to its name, filling the small valley into which it flows with a loud, steady roaring sound. This photo was taken during Fall, after an extended period of fairly heavy rain. Here we see only the top portion of the falls, about 1/3 of its total size.
