A photo from a couple of days ago, shooting to the NNW from Cotton Hill in Gilford, which provides one of the finest views of the high peaks of the Franconia Ridge available in the Lakes Region. Mt LaFayette is the tallest peak in the western half of NH and is one of only 7 peaks in NH that are taller than 5000 ft - Mt Lincoln, immediately to LaFayette's south on the ridge, is also over 5000 ft. A few local peaks are also identified - Squam and Doublehead of the Squam Range and Brickyard Mt at the Weirs and Gilman Hill in Meredith.
