Some trees were recently cut down from along an old stone wall at the back of a field at the top of New Durham Ridge. That opened up this view of Carter Notch in the White Mountains, about 60 miles to the north. Carter Dome, which forms the east wall of the notch, is the 9th highest mountain in NH, measuring 4843 ft.
