This is one of the "J-80" class of sailboat which, in recent years, has become very popular on Lake Winnipesaukee. It is seen here with its carbon-fiber bowsprit extended to support its asymmetrical spinnaker. (A lightweight sail with bottom corners held at different heights—flown in place of a heavier jib or conventional, and very sheer, spinnaker).
Although there are several large-acreage lots that are clear-cut like the one in the background, this one appears especially familiar. This location may be off West Alton.
