Another look at Shannon from across Crystal Lake, this time placing it within a larger framework of its surroundings. The cliffs seen at the top of Shannon provide some of the nicest views south available from the Belknap Range. In this photo you can also make out the cliffs just below the center of the rather flat, inclined summit of Rand, which provide even more expansive views to the south, available while hiking the Quarry Trail.
