After walking down from the top of Mt Rowe on the cell tower access road (I remember skiing that track as the Try-Me-Trail at the old Belknap Recreation Area in the late 40's or early 50', back in the days when all the ski action was on Rowe, not on Gunstock), I noticed near the bottom that several of the lifts were running but no one seemed to be riding them. I thought perhaps the area had closed and the lifts were being checked out for maintenance needs before being shut down for the season. Several minutes later, however, I saw this person ski into view from above and head to the Panorama lift for another ride back up the mountain. There were a few other skiers on the slopes, but they were so few and far between that you had to wait quite a while before seeing another one.
