Being unable to take any pictures for a while (confined to house while recuperating from an operation), I decided to experiment with one of the very first photos I posted at this site, hoping to improve it a little and add some extra details. I have spent several decades exploring the mountains of the state and may have most of those facts correct, but, even tho I had a camp on the lake at W. Alton for about 25 years, I was the one family member who seldom went on the lake, being more fascinated by the many mountains that surrounded it, so there is a better than even chance that I have made mistakes identifying some of the lake features.
