At Squam Lake, looking westerly across Sandwich Bay from the Sandwich Town Beach. The view at first focuses across Fore Point to Mt Livermore. Next we see the Rattlesnakes, 2 lakeside peaks that aren't really part of the Squam Range - we see mostly East Rattlesnake, which hides most of West Rattlesnake. Continuing to the right is the long, relatively flat summit of Mt Webster, leading to the 2 most popular hiking peaks of the range, Morgan and Percival, which both provide great views to the south across Squam and Winnipesaukee. Further to the right is the peak which bears the name of the range (limited views tho), and furthest north is Mt Doublehead, which does have fine views to the south. The Crawford/Ridgepole Trail, starting at Sandwich Notch to the north, goes across all of the mountains of the range, ending on Mt Livermore - recently marked trails will lead south to Cotton Mt, a little further to the south still.
