A shot across Alton Bay (not visible here). In the left foreground are houses along the Alton Mt Rd, immediately west of the bay - a grand view from that spot includes the Alton Bay-Wolfeboro Bay section of the lake and the mountains off to the NE and E. The right foreground and midground show the beginning of the southern slopes of Straightback Mt and the left midground shows Mt Mack, with a radio tower at the summit used by the scouts to stay in touch with the personnel using their 3500 acre reservation. In the background is Mt Belknap, whose higher elevation has maintained some of its covering of ice from the recent storm. It also has a radio tower and a fire tower that are visible here.
