A view of Mt Shaw from the north, from the top of Bayle Mt in the center of the Ossipee Range. Shaw is over 1100 ft higher than Bayle, but since Bayle is in the center of the sunken caldera of the old Ossipee volcano, it is located just below and to the north of Shaw, with no mountains in between to hamper the view; and Bayle's very ledgy, very open summit provides grand views in all directions.
