The Greystone Inn is still found today along Rt. 11-D in Alton and in the past was a station along the Lakeshore Railroad. In this older photo/postcard the Lakeshore RR train tracks would be running along the front of the photo but are obscured by the bushes.

The Greystone Inn was not located on Alton Bay. It was located on Leavitt's Shore between Ellacoya State Beach and Belknap Point. I remember when there was a restaurant there in the 1950's as there was at the Chanticleer Inn just west of Greystone on old RTE 11, now Scenic Rd.
