The focus of the picture is Shannon Mt, occupying the central portion of the photo. You can see one of the open areas on Shannon's peak that provides the fine views for which the mountain is noted. On the horizon, to the left, is sharp-peaked Durrell Mt, and, to the right of center is rounded-peaked Whiteface Mt, with a small notch in the space between them. To the right of, and slightly above Shannon Mt is Swett Mt, and to its right is the southerly slope of Piper Mt. In the foreground is part of Hills Pond, with a little of Sunset Lake showing at the far left.
