A view from the White Trail on Mt Belknap. We're looking thru the deep valley of Moulton Brook, with Piper and Swett Mts forming the valley wall on the right and Belknap and Suncook Mts forming the wall on the left. 5 lakes are visible, to one degree or another, in the photo - furthest left is part of Sunset Lake, then a tiny sliver of Lake Eileen, then the largest parts of Manning Lake (closest) and Crystal Lake, and, a little further right, a little bit of Upper Suncook Lake. The burnt snags in the foreground are a reminder of a forest fire (arson, in this case) that swept across the site in the early 1990's. The arsonist was caught, but not until he had set more fires in the Belknaps, and, later, in the White Mts.
