On the horizon we see most of the Presidential Range, from Mt Webster on the left to Mt Madison on the right. In addition to Willey, not part of the range, two of these men were not presidents, but were honored for playing a critical role in the creation of the nation. Two of them were honored to a large extent because they were natives of NH as well, even if their contributions to nationhood were not necessarily as grand as that of the others. Two of the mountains of the range, Adams and Jefferson, are almost completely hidden behind Washington, and cannot be easily seen in this photo. The rocky cone of Chocorua of the Sandwich Range shows up nicely at the far right.
