Because of a limited winter snowfall and a much drier than normal spring, this very ledgy section of Shannon Brook is running much calmer than it would normally at this time of year. Usually most of the brook part of this scene would be showing white water and much more of the ledge would be submerged. A prolonged heavy rain could change things relatively quickly however.
