Shot yesterday from Rte 171 in Tuftonboro, near the top of Copp Hill. From left to right are seen Big Ball Mt, Black Snout and Mt Shaw (center). Black Snout is technically a southern shoulder of Mt Shaw, but for over a century the natives of the area and others have used the name Black Snout to identify that prominant feature of the local landscape. Note how extraordinarily sparse the snow is for mid-January in central NH.
