Roaring Falls is a 2-step, plunging type of waterfall located just a few hundred yards NE of the Castle. It has a long history of visitations from the public, most especially since the 1880's when it was a major feature of Ossipee Park offered to tourists of the era who visited the then well-known vacation spot. From the bridge behind the falls to the falls itself Shannon Brook has cut a 10-ft deep, 70-ft long flume through solid rock as it approaches the top of the falls.
