The highest mountains in the Ossipees are the ones forming the high ridge that dominates the southernmost section of the range, which is what one sees when viewing the range from the Winnipesaukee area. In this photo you see the eastern half of that high ridge. All the labels are of the foreground mountains which comprise that ridge, with the exception of Green Mt at the far right. Sentinel Mt, the easternmost mountain of the ridge, shows only a small piece of the summit here. Hardwood Hill is a name probably known and used mostly by natives of the area, while Dan Hole Mt is an old name which may not be used by anyone any more.
