The Glade is a man-made opening in the forest about 2/3 of the way up the trail leading to the summit of Lockes Hill in Gilford. It provides this expansive view out over The Broads to the mountains beyond, including the Ossipees, the Sandwich Range, the Squam Range, Red Hill, and Mt Washington, seen in the far background at the center.
