On a NE shoulder of Mt Belknap, the Gunstock ski area developed a trail a few years ago to be used as a snowshoe track. It has a good overlook from a high bluff, which also provides hikers as well as snowshoers with this fine view of Winnipesaukee and some of the Belknap Mountains. At the far left is a small pond which is Gunstock's reservoir for water used in snow-making.
