Background mts, from the left: the rocky cone of Mt Chocorua, followed by the long ridge of the Three sisters; then the snowy pyramidal peak of Mt Monroe; to its right and below is the deep depression of Oakes Gulf; next is the summit of Washington; below and a little right, coming toward us, is the long snowy ridge called Boott Spur; to its right is rugged Huntington Ravine; then, slightly further back, comes the somewhat snowy peak of Mt Madison; at the far right is Wildcat Mt. The mid-ground mt at the right is local Mt Molly, sited at the north shore of Merrymeeting Lake; just in front of it is Rattlesnake Mt, sited a little south of Merrymeeting.
