W Rattlesnake Mt is the most sought out hiking outlook of the Squam Lake area. The large, ledgy outcrop provides a view of most of Squam Lake, most of the Squam Range (occupies right half of photo), Red Hill (lakeside mt at far left), the Belknap Range (on the horizon, under the rosy clouds, at left center), and many other well-known mountains in the far background (Copple Crown, Uncanoonucs, Joe English Hill, Monadnock, Kearsarge, Ragged, etc.)
