Should be a view from the south looking over Sleeper Island, right foreground?, towards the Ossipees. There are no near by islands on the north side of Rattlesnake. Looks like a drawing and not a picture.
It also looks like it was done/taken from above Glidden cove where the Rattlesnake Island Assoc. has it's launch ramp and dock today.
RG or IG can confirm as well as DRH.

I am having trouble reconciling the landmarks. I would have thought the land jutting out from the right was Smith Point, but then the little island does not make sense. It if was Sleeper's I would think we could also see Cub and Treasure Islands. At first I thought the island was Diamond.. I am baffled.

I think it's "taken" from near Belknap Pt looking over Carr Pt (Lake Shore Park), Diamond and Rattlesnake. Parker Island and Wolfeboro Neck would be on the left.

The Photo is taken from Locke's Hill near Belknap Point looking towards Carr's Point (Lake Shore Park) with Diamond and Rattlesnake Island in the background.
