Apparently Tom Plant, the man who built "Castle in the Clouds" and lived in it for over a quarter of a century, never used the term Castle in the Clouds. He sometimes referred to his estate as Lucknow - opinions differ as to how that name arose. At the far right is seen Middle Mt, with a tiny sliver of the summit of Mt Shaw peeking out above its right shoulder.
