It's a lot of sail, but I managed to keep it upright—even as a teenager. (Although maybe this photo should have been in the "Historical" category). Consider RSA 270:E4 for even more sailing pleasure.

One adventurer sailed a similar canoe across the Pacific in the 50s. The biggest problem? Night-time hallucinations.

Thanks for sharing this cool picture with us APS! Did you build the outriggers yourself?

Hi Acres; That pic definitely puts you in the AARP Senior catagory. I guess that's LW that your sailing on. Was this a slide converted to digital or was it a scanned photo?

I'm always jealous of people that played on LW as a kid. I didn't find out about it until I was 60 years old.

The family is heading to KW this Saturday, we can't wait! My 13 year old son and I are fishing with Capt. Bruce Cronin, on New Horizons, out of Stock Island. He's been my Capt.

for 31 years, we are both getting too old to last a big long fight. Thank goodness for catch and release. If your a fisherman drop me a note.

ALBY

That is Winnipesaukee, the photo converted from Ektachrome, and the boat is "as-delivered-from-the-factory".

One great thing about two boats sailing, is that Grandmother and Granddaughter are immediately competition equals!
