This year the lake had the opportunity to freeze with little or no wind. The 4-6" of snow that fell were melted away by a winter rainstorm, and the entire lake froze as smooth as glass. Perfect for ice sailing!
The white lines you see are cracks in the ice that snagged wind-swept snow.
