Eric Austin Senior Member Registered: October 2002 Posts: 146	This is the elusive Branch Fish or Fisheous Brancheous caught off of Echo Point in Alton Bay. The elusive Fisheous Brancheous hibernates at the bottom of lakes waiting for anglers to hook them. It's then a fight between the angler and Fisheous Brancheous until the angler loses the hook or the Branch Fish is defeated by being pulled to the surface. We got the picture of Fisheous Brancheous and let him go unscathed, too...

I have caught a number of these in the past. They usually put up a good fight until you realize what they are.

I'm told Fisheous brancheous is the number one cause of Ice-Eater failure. "Trimmings" should not be tossed into the lake.
