It's a 1957 T-bird, being "shown" on a day when it is tough to show a convertible. The darker blue article to the right of the driver (covering the passenger seat area) is a mostly waterproof, zippered, heavy-duty vinyl shield against the elements known as a "tonneau".
As a collector of Euro-convertibles, I always liked the simpler lines of these early "Birds".
