This engine powers a 3 cockpit, split-bench, Dietrich canvas top Chris Craft Runabout with raised deck; 1930s, 28 feet?

This boat was berthed at Sawmill Marina in Wolfeboro when this photo was taken.

We will gladly add additional information you can provide about this engine.

Hi Alby, the 350 model was horsepower. The shape/Size of the valve covers give away the CU/inches, Min/Max from 401 to 454. MerCruiser casted some experimental blocks back in the 80s that were 600 Cubic inches, some of which were built by a friend of mine at his shop on Long Island NY. He built the 600 CU/incher to a naturally aspirated 1100 horsepower using Pontiac aluminium heads and dual highrised tunnel rammed Holey carburetors and 89 octain unleaded fuel.

If you can't tell, I'm a gearhead and have been keeping many engines tuned and purring like kittens since I was six years old.

Keep these awesome photos coming!

Terry
