A view from an outlook on the White Trail, which climbs Belknap from the west. We are looking over Moulton Valley, the longest, deepest valley of the range - the lower half of the photo shows the southernmost end of the valley, with the valley walls made up of Swett Mt on the right and Suncook Mt on the left. The open field at the northern end of the lake is the activity field at the Camp Bell complex at the Griswold Scout Reservation, which, at 3500 acres, is NH's largest. Manning Lake is one of the least developed and most peaceful of the small lakes of this area. The scouts own 1/2 of its shoreline.
