We heard this hawk screeching, and looked out by our wood pile and saw this hawk and another. Tried to get a clear picture, but unfortunately I had to shoot through the window. It was definately sitting on something, probably a chipmunk or red squirrel. When I tried to get a pic out the screen door it took off, and I could see something hanging down out of its talons. It landed in a tree, but I could not get a clear shot before it flew off deeper into the woods. At least I know what that screeching is in the evenings!!!!
